Hemp seeds are the only natural source known of having the ideal ratio of Essential Fatty Acids required by the human body, which is roughly 3:1 of omega-6 to omega-3, the two most important EFAs.
Essential fatty acids are called “essential” because our body cannot manufacture them and therefore they must be part of our daily diet. EFAs are not used for energy or stored like other fats we eat.
They are used as raw materials for the cell structure and as precursors for many of the body’s vital biochemicals, including hormones and prostaglandins. We obtain every drop of our oil by slowly cold-pressing fresh hemp seeds. During each step of the process we take great care to protect the fragile EFAs that make the oil so beneficial for health.
The deliciously subtle, nutty flavor of our hemp seed oil makes it the ideal accompaniment to a wide range of dishes from vegetable to fruit salads, pasta, rice recipes or grilled vegetables.
We bottle our oil in 250ml or 500ml violet glass bottles with nitrogen sealing. Unlike dark brown or dark green glass which block all rays of light, violet glass filters the light spectrum. It rejects all other rays of light except IR and UV-A which protect the freshness and the high bio photon level of our oil.
Canah Hemp Seed Oil should be stored in the fridge after opening and consumed within 6 months.
